Holistic
Massage, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology are what is termed
Complementary Therapies. These therapies, along with
others, have been practiced for as far back as 10,000 BC.
Unlike conventional medicine, the complementary holistic approach
seeks to treat the person as a whole, looking at all aspects of
their life and lifestyle (which include diet, occupation and emotions)
instead of only looking at treating the symptoms of illness.
Lots of illnesses come about as a result of stress and tension.
Complementary therapies can :
Boost the immune system
Eliminate toxins
Give pain relief
Improve sleep patterns
Increase energy levels
Reduce stress and tension
Improve libido
Improve mental and emotional well-being
Give people a sense of hope and control in their lives
